My favorite and go to Mediterranean in NYC for almost a decade only gets better with time. They changed location around a year ago and while I think I liked their previous location more (more windows so more sunlight), the food tastes even better. This time, we got the shakshuka and chicken souvlaki.

Shakshuka was amazing and extremely filling. Eggs were somewhere between easy-medium which is exactly how I like them. And the salad side was also so flavorful! I love tomatoes but this was blew me away. My girlfriend who doesn't like tomatoes loved it also!

Chicken souvlaki was incredible. I usually don't order chicken but this was sooooo tender and so herby. It was incredible.

Still my go to for Mediterranean food and doesn't appear to be changing any time soon.

I came here for dinner on a weekday and we were seated immediately. The ambiance was kept simple. Service was nice and food was good.

    - Kefi Salad: Their version of a classic greek salad which was heavily chopped into tiny pieces. It was still good but I wish they didn't do that.. and it could use more feta considering the salad was $14.

    - Grilled Octopus: Delicious! The octopus was super tender and flavorful. It was grilled perfectly but again with the chopping... The chickpea salad and lemony yogurt sauce underneath paired nicely.

    - Grilled Whole Dorado: The star of the night! The flesh had a buttery moist texture. The skin exterior was grilled crispy. We devoured it head to tail. I would come back to get this again.

We washed everything down with a nice bottle of white wine. This was one of the better Greek restaurants I've had. I recommend stopping by!

I've been here twice for dinner and both times have been consistently amazing!

Food: Everything I've had is good, especially the octopus appetizer and seafood yiouvesti. The seafood is fresh and the flavors are very homey. It's a little expensive but very good!

Service: Always met with kind and helpful servers. The food takes a little long to come out, but worth it!

Atmosphere: Very cute and fairly big inside, good for small groups and/or a date!

I love this spot and will continue to come back!

Super delicious greek restaurant. Service was very attentive and the atmosphere is bright and comforting!

    LAMB RAGU PASTA

I really liked this dish. Its the kind of dish you want to eat when you want some hearty pasta but that also has a Greek flair to it. The ragu had a lot of flavor, but was elevated from the ground meat in pasta sauce most of us are used to. I also really liked the topping of the dish with the creamy cheese. Not sure what kind of cheese it was but it melted with the heat of the pasta dish and was really rich and contrasted well with the slightly sweet ragu.

    HORIATIKI SALAD

I loved this salad. My favorite part was the feta cheese that was aged by the barrel and the olives. Its probably the best feta I have had in my life.

Picked the place simply by location and Yelp rating and didn't regret it. The place was quite literally a hole in the wall, but rather spacious inside. All tables were used - was a rainy night and the place looked like had a number of regulars in - so we were offered bar seating.

Food was great, though somewhat on the expensive side, and portions decent. Service was outstanding - quick and with the smile. This was our 4th day in NY and we were used to "don't care" attitude that we've experienced in most other places, so this was a very nice surprise.

All in all - this place is worth a special visit if you're looking for Mediterranean cousin. Might need to reserve table ahead of time though.
